Do you consider your scholarship feminist or would you like to work toward a feminist scholarship project with supportive colleagues? Are you interested in collaborating with colleagues on how to establish, maintain, and promote your scholarship in a semi-structured writing community?

Join JMU colleagues in a faculty community dedicated to sustaining feminist scholarship both on-campus and in our own research projects. Participants will have the opportunity to write together weekly in an semi-structured accountability group and will have bi-weekly discussions about how to how to support and promote feminist scholarship on campus and in our disciplines, while also getting feedback on their writing projects and progress.

Facilitator: Becca Howes-Mischel, Ph.D., Sociology and Anthropology

Faculty participants will make progress toward these scholarship outcomes:

  • Enhancing scholarly productivity; and
  • Forming collaborative scholarly projects with students, faculty, & staff at JMU and other institutions.

We want this program to be welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all of our participants. Please reach out to us at cfi@jmu.edu or (568-4846) with any considerations (e.g., disability, wellness, cultural, dietary, etc.) you want us to know about.
