January Symposium 2018 is a day-long conference based on different needs and interests related to faculty scholarship. All sessions will be held at JMU's Rose Library on Thursday, January 4th.

Sessions are offered on scholarly writing, research design skills, the scholarship of teaching & learning (SoTL) and writing strategies, among others. Three programming tracks have been identified for: Methods and Data, Manuscripts and Writing, and Theorizing Teaching. Lockdown sessions offer space to work on a writing project or spring syllabi. Faculty are also invited to a plenary breakfast with Provost Heather Coltman and a networking lunch to connect with colleagues from across the university.

Register for a full day of sessions or attend just a few events. Click on the session title to view a full description of the program.
