May Symposium Conference Day: Call for Proposals

In an effort to support the ongoing development of JMU faculty as a teachers and scholars, the JMU Center for Faculty Innovation offers May Symposium Conference Day to faculty during the week after May Commencement. The annual May Symposium compiles a variety of roundtables, speakers, gatherings, and workshops on various topics such as learner-centered teaching, course design, and information literacy. This exciting collaborative effort provides full-time faculty, part-time faculty, and academic unit leaders with opportunities to focus on teaching, scholarship, career planning, service and/or leadership.

Faculty are invited to submit proposals for May Symposium Conference Day sessions in the areas of academic culture, career planning, scholarship and/or teaching.  Conference Day will be held on Wednesday, May 10.  Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis until Friday, February 10, 2017 at 12 PM. Early submission is encouraged
