The Academic Portfolio Institute (API) provides faculty opportunities to create a professional, reflective portfolio that integrates faculty accomplishments in teaching, research/scholarship, and service/leadership into a single document. Portfolio Institutes are four-day intensive experiences in which participating faculty are paired with a trained mentor who provides one-on-one support, guidance, and feedback in drafting the portfolio and selecting evidence. The resulting document is typically 15-20 pages plus appendices. This comprehensive portfolio combines thoughtful reflection on faculty performance and effectiveness with hard evidence of accomplishment and development.
