Deadline to apply will be 2/5 at 5pm.  This Scholarly Writers' Community will be meeting on four Tuesdays over the spring semester on the dates above. Applicants are asked to commit to attending all four dates.

In this scholarly writers' group, individual scholarly productivity will be fostered through participation in a writing community that encourages and supports the cultivation and completion of writing projects. The hallmarks of this facilitated scholarship community include: developing an individual scholarly writer’s profile; developing a writing project plan; guided peer review of drafts; time for writing; editing deadlines; and celebration of success. Whether working on a manuscript, book project, or other writing project, this experience will help scholars move toward project completion. 

Faculty will make progress toward these scholarship outcomes:

  • Enhancing scholarly productivity, and
  • Advancing scholarly skills.

Faculty will make progress toward these program outcomes:

  • Advancing a scholarly writing project,
  • Developing a scholarly writer’s profile, and
  • Moving a writing project through a guided peer review process.
