The Center for Faculty Innovation (CFI) welcomes session proposals for the 2016 May Symposium Conference Days (Tue 5/10 and Wed 5/11).  May Symposium is a week-long professional development program offered the week after commencement.  This year will be CFI's 10th Annual May Symposium.  In 2014, the TWO-DAY conference format was added within May Symposium.  Offered on Tuesday and Wednesday, Conference Days offers faculty the opportunity to share their ideas, innovations, and insights with fellow faculty with CFI providing space and logistical support.  Please consider submitting a proposal for the 2016 May Symposium Conference Days.

May Symposium offers professional development opportunities for JMU faculty in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and career development. The Center for Faculty Innovation has works collaboratively with campus organizations and faculty to offer a rich array of workshops, institutes, and guest speakers. The number and quality of May Symposium offerings has increased over the past few years, reflecting creative input from many areas of the JMU community. Our open proposal format broadens and enriches the offerings available and makes May Symposium more inclusive and reflective of faculty needs and ideas.
