Julian Bonder is teacher and designer / architect. Mr. Bonder has devoted an important part of his design work and research to investigating the relationships between Architecture and Memory. He is an active contributor to contemporary national and international discourses on memory, public space, public art, cultural trauma and monuments. Often working outside the traditional boundaries of architecture, his work in this field includes projects, built work, and writings. His work includes projects on Holocaust Memory, the Civil War, Civil Rights, Slavery, the Desaparecidos, as well as September 11.

A Registered Architect (Argentina) and Professor of Architecture at Roger Williams University, Bonder received degrees from Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, Universidad de Buenos Aires (Diploma in Architecture), and from Graduate School of Design, Harvard University (Master in Design Studies)

Bonder is principal of Julian Bonder + Associates, partner at Wodiczko & Bonder in Cambridge, MA and Professor of Architecture with Tenure, Roger Williams University in Bristol RI.
