Harmonic Lab Artist, Jon Bellona, Lecture: “Data Driven Music”

Data Driven Music is a term to describe methods and processes of data mapping for musical application. The talk will present topics surrounding data and composition and will discuss various artworks, including the artist's own work transforming data into music (e.g. Twitter feeds, video game controllers, and body sensors). The talk will be followed by a tour of Harmonic Laboratory's data-driven works in Duke Gallery.

The general public (those not currently enrolled at, compensated by, or employed as an affiliate of JMU), may pick up parking permits for the event at the Duke Hall Gallery reception desk.  Guests may not park in specialty spaces such as Service Vehicle spaces, handicap spaces without proper permit, or expired timed spaces.  A parking map can be located here:
