The Shenandoah Valley has always been home. I grew up on a farm an hour north of Harrisonburg in Browntown, Virginia. It was a hobby farm of sorts. We had chickens, goats, cows, horses, and miniature donkeys. Where ever I went there was sure to be an animal trailing behind me.  The line between pet and livestock was blurred.

The farm had a strong influence on the way I view the environment. My work is inspired by the unique relationships formed between the natural world and humanity. “An Abandoned home with vines crawling up the siding, storms breaking through the windows, and termites eating away walls. Dragonflies creating a harbor from kayaks floating down the river. My work stems from a fascination with ecology. Specifically the relationship formed between the natural world and humanity.”
