Wed, 26 Jul 2017 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Join us this summer for our free brown bag lunch lecture series!

This summer, on Wednesdays at noon in the arboretum pavilion, carry-in a brown bag lunch and enjoy lunch break with informative talks on a new subject each week that is trending in gardening, landscaping and natural sciences.
*There will be no lecture on July 5*

June 14: Plant Swap

June 21: The Story of Pebble Hill Wildflower Farm

June 28: Floating Gardens

July 12: Meet the Artist in Residence

July 19: How Well Do You Know Bluebirds?

July 26: Cooling Herbs and Their Uses
Rachelle Martindale, a PA with August Health Palliative Care and a member of the American Herbalist Guild shares her skills with us. Rachelle will demonstrate cooling herbs used to cool hot summer bodies. Savor tea made from fresh or dried herbs and served with herbal ice cubes. Feel the relief of cooling skin salves and immerse hot, tired feet into baths laced with cooling herbals. Enjoy being cool this summer with herbs and avoid harmful side effects, empty calories and sugar overload.

For more information about any session, visit the EJC Arboretum website.
