Two JMU faculty members, Dr. Christine May, assistant professor of biology, and Dr. Thomas Benzing, professor of integrated science and technology, are among the guests on “The Stream Doctors.” Maybe you don’t fish or spend much time out in nature. If so, what could efforts to improve the health of Shenandoah Valley streams and waterways have to do with you? Scientists involved in those efforts have an answer. (One hint: their work might just affect your health too.)

May, a researcher in the field of aquatic ecology, and Benzing, a researcher in the field of environmental toxicology, are co-organizers of a recent scientific symposium on the health of Virginia’s mountain streams.
