Jim Hahn, an economist and
specialist in health care financing in the Domestic Social Policy Division at
the Congressional Research Service, presents “Red Faces and Blue Faces: Policy
and Politics under Divided Government.” As an expert resource on health
economics and health policy, Hahn helps to ensure that Congress makes informed
decisions on legislative matters regarding health and health care.
Hahn works
with members of Congress and with Congressional staff to analyze policy options
and helps to draft legislation to address health policy issues. Hahn also
served as senior health policy analyst to the Joint Select Committee on Deficit
Reduction (the “Super Committee”) in the fall of 2011, where he advised and
assisted the committee on health policy issues.
