Andrew Lloyd Webber, the prolific composer of such Broadway hits as "Phantom of the Opera," "Cats" and "Evita," has worked with some of the most innovative and talented musical theatre artists of our time. This concert celebrates Webber's creative genius and highlights work from his contemporaries and collaborators, including Elton John ("Aida"), Bjorn Ulvaeus ("Mamma Mia!" and "Chess"), Stephen Schwartz ("Wicked" and "Godspell"), Alan Menken ("Little Mermaid") and many others. This Broadway musical celebration features advanced musical theatre students from JMU's School of Theatre and Dance.
