Chef Jay Vetter of JMU Catering speaks at 5:15 p.m. and offers a 10-minute overview of pesto variations he created using arboretum basils and other herbs, followed by a pesto tasting. At 6 p.m., Dr. Jim Benedict, JMU professor emeritus of psychology and a wine maker, speaks on modern wine making in the Shenandoah Valley. Cost is $15 per person.
