Getting Around Harrisonburg

You don't have a car? Not a problem. Harrisonburg Transit Authority buses can take you shopping, to the doctor's, even to work. Just look for this sign - it tells you where the bus stops in the city are.

The fees are reasonable, too.

* 50 cents for adults
* 25 cents for EMU students, senior citizens, and the handicapped
* JMU students and faculty ride free with a valid ID
* Students through grade 12 also ride for free.

Just be sure to have the EXACT fare ready when you board. Drivers DO NOT make change.

For routes and schedules, visit Harrisonburg Transit's website at

For a taxicab, 24 hours a day, call 540-434-2515. Yellow Cab provides service throughout Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. Service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Wheelchair accessible cars are available.
