Friday, August 31:(tentative date) Mandatory meeting for students planning to take the M.A. exam during the spring 2008 semester

Spring 2008:

Mon., Jan. 14:  Portfolios (four essays, four abstracts, Permission form, and proposals) due to DGS at 5:00 p.m.

January 14-26: Graduate Committee meets to discuss proposals; arranges meetings, if necessary, with students whose proposals require revision.  Revision deadlines set.

February 1: (tentative) revised proposals are due to DGS.

Mon., March 10: Independent essay exams due to DGS at 5:00 p.m.; Exams distributed to the Examination Committee

March 10-22: (tentative) Graduate Committee meets to consider examinations

March 24: (tentative) Results announced; due dates set by which revised versions of any failing essays must be resubmitted to the Examination Committee
