ENG 421: Traditional Grammar

Dr. Cash 3 credits

My version of this course involves a practical review of traditional English grammar; students will review parts of speech, phrases, and clauses as we use them to creative balanced and coherent sentences. Old-fashioned diagramming will be an integral part of the course as well as writing weekly paragraphs that demonstrate that week’s learning. Homework and quizzes are essential to this practical learning experience. People who take the course will emerge with a thorough knowledge of English grammar; the course is important for all English majors, but especially relevant to those who plan to teach at the secondary level.
