Dr. Thompson 3 credits

          This course introduces students to major authors, literary forms, and movements in American literature since 1865. It seeks to to foster familiarity with various American literary genres, figures, and movements since 1865; to practice critical thinking and writing skills; and to foster critical reading skills through close analysis of literary texts.

25% exams (3)                                                           30% essays (3)
10% final exam
