The Fine Print
- Any team can be disqualified at any time at the discretion of the Department of Engineering.
- The rulings of the judges are final. Individual judges also have the right to deduct points from a team’s score for any reason if they feel the team has violated the spirit of the contest rules.
- Unaddressed issues and questions about these rules and their application to a particular design will be cheerfully addressed by any Department of Engineering faculty member.
- Contest rule addendums or corrections will be published and distributed as needed. Watch your email and the Department of Engineering website for additional details.
Prizes
Prizes for first, second, and third place based on the combined Performance Score and Budget Score across all three FLING Firing Rooms. Three additional recognitions, one in each FLING Firing Room, will be awarded for best design.
