Freshman Launch

August

Before your first day of class, we’ll welcome you into our community at the Freshman Launch. You’ll engage with your peers and faculty to make connections in Madison Engineering.

Professionalism Seminar Series

Fall/Spring

Once a month each semester, we hold a a seminar series open to all students to inform, improve, and inspire our student’s career development. A wide range of topics are covered, from career clinics to alumni panels.

Scholar's Café

Fall

At the Cafe, you will learn from your peers about their international research experiences, undergraduate research assistantships, NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU), honors, graduate studies, and more! You’ll learn how you can take advantage of these scholarly activities.

The xChange

Spring

Our signature event shares our students’ major engineering work from the past year through presentations, posters, and prototypes – typically north of  75 project teams in total – and features our two-year-long capstone projects. This year on showcase will be first-year projects, sophomore design projects, junior/senior capstone projects, honors student projects, dual enrollment high school student projects, residential learning community student projects, and more.
