EMERITI
ASSOCIATION TO PRESENT GIFT TO THE UNIVERSITY
At the December meeting,
members of the association voter to present a $1000
work of art to the university in commemoration of
the centennial. They further voted to accept the
recommendation of the gift committee, chaired by
Jerry Coulter, to place the work in one of the
niches at he entrance to the Performing Arts center.
The exact work to be
contributed will be determined at a latter date.
EMERITI FRIENDS
A group of our members, aptly
known as Emeriti Friends, stand ready to provide
transporation to medical appointments for other
emeriti. They will provide transportation for those
members ubable to drive to our meetings. Contact:

BE A STAR!
Our long awaited film
interview with each emeriti association member will
take place this semester. With the assistance of JMU
Division of University Advancement staff, tentative
plans have been made to schedule an approximately
forty-five minute interview on camera with each
faculty member; editing will occur later. Interviews
will be placed on the JMU website to be accessed by
alumni and others who wish to know about us and our
experiences at JMU.
Catherine Holmes of the Office
of Madison Institutes will schedule appointments for
taping these interviews. Be ready to respond
positively to Catherine when she contacts you.
