In Volume 2, Issue 2 of the JMU Emeriti Association Newsletter, the executive board presented the following bylaws amendment for consideration by its members. If approved at the April meeting, this will, in effect, create a new class of membership.

Associate member shall be spouses/partners of deceased members in good standing of the JMU Emeriti Association. Associate members are non-voting members and cannot hold office in the association.
