As we move further into the second decade of our Emeriti Association, I along with Vice President Shelia Moorman, Treasurer Joe Hollis, and Secretary Louise Loe are excited and ready to continue the fun, fellowship and service that defines our association. Mary Lou Wylie heads up our interest groups providing great opportunities for socialization and exploration of interesting topics. I encourage you to look over the list of Interest Groups and give them a try. Visit the Interest Group website at www.jmu.edu/emeriti/Interest_Groups.shtml for more information. We are always open for suggestions of new interest groups for our members.
The JMU Emeriti Association is an opportunity for each of us to continue a significant and meaningful relationship with the University that we served for many years. It is also a vehicle that makes it possible for us to stay in touch and involved with friends and colleagues.
I am looking forward to another great year, as I know you are as well. Do not hesitate to contact me with your ideas and suggestions. And, don’t be a stranger to the Faculty Emeriti Association events.
