2008-09 University Committee Nomination Form

This form provides JMU employees with the opportunity to request placement on various university-wide committees. Please indicate your choices for the committee service that you would be willing to perform. There is no limit to the number of committees you may select. Please fill out and submit form by June 2, 2008. A list of nominees will be compiled and forwarded to the President's Office for consideration during next year's university committee appointment process.

	EMPLOYEE ADVISORY COMMITTEE	As an advisory committee reporting to the President of JMU, the EAC fosters open, honest and productive communication between employees and the university administration with an emphasis on matters of concern to all employees.

	JM-U APPRECIATION DAY STEERING COMMITTEE	Plans and organizes the activities of the annual JM-U Appreciation Day, including workshops, a picnic, door prizes, community service activities, and entertainment. This committee is sponsored by the Employee Advisory Committee.

	PARKING ADVISORY COMMITTEE	Reviews and makes recommendations regarding the university's traffic and parking policies and regulations.

	PARKING APPEALS COMMITTEE	Hears appeals in accordance with the university's traffic and parking policies and regulations.

	RESIDENCY APPEALS COMMITTEE	Hears appeals for students seeking in-state tuition.
