ORGANIZATIONAL INFORMATION PUBLISHER'S AGREEMENT

The purpose of this agreement is to ensure that: (1) information publishers are aware of their respective responsiblities and; (2) JMU Web management knows what to expect from publishers.
The information publisher is responsible for:
Determining, writing, editing, organizing, and formatting content;
Establishing style guidelines based on those recommended by JMU Web Management;
Uploading, posting and maintaining information;
Obeying copyright laws and not practicing slander, libel, obscenity, plagiarism or breach
of confidentiality;
Publishing accurate and current information;
Acknowledging authorship by identifying department or organization name and contact
information in footer;
Labeling information with either a publication or last-modified date.
Use of the JMU Web for commercial use or profit outside of university-approved pages is
prohibited.
JMU Web Management reserves the right to remove links to any out-of-date or inappropriate
material.
