Ongoing Projects

Volunteers are needed two afternoons per week to provide homework support and tutoring to children who have been nominated by their teachers as at high risk of school failure.

On-site supervision and support will be provided by Dr. Laura Desportes of the Exceptional Education Dept. and one of our ExEd Graduate Assistants. If you are interested in making a commitment to a child and having an impact on someone's future, please call or email Dr. Desportes to learn more about this exciting opportunity! Farm Internships:

What is small-scale, sustainable agriculture? Find out through a hands-on internship with local farmers. Not only will this internship provide you with a set of practical skills, you will also learn the science and ideologies behind small-scale farming techniques, understand your local ecology, examine localization and recognize the impacts of globalized or industrial food and fiber production, identify the strengths and limitations of small-scale farming, and more.
