Treasure Beach, Jamaica

Focus on Youth and Education

Participants will be assisting the Sandy Bank Primary School to promote reading among students who are reading below grade level. With some class sizes reaching nearly 60 students, this individual attention is a tremendous help to the staff and students. Participants may also have the opportunity to help by being a teacher's assistant, staffing the school library/computer lab, and working in the school's organic farm. While in Treasure Beach, Jamaica, participants will stay in a family-run guesthouse in small fishing village that has a reputation for being extremely safe.
