Alternative Break Program--> 2009-2010 Trip Descriptions

San Ignacio, Belize
Participants will go to San Ignacio to work with the local people on educational assistance, school construction, and community projects. Participant will live and work in the community and learn about Belizean culture. This is a class-based trip for students who enroll in WRTC 400, Personal Narratives of International Service. The final project for the course is to produce polished, publication-ready writing based on the trip that will be showcased at the end of the semester. Registration for this 3-credit writing course is done during spring registration through permission of the instructor.
