Course Goals and Objectives
By the end of the semester students will be
able to:
- Understand fundamental principles of
composition theory and rhetoric
- Apply those principles to the teaching of
writing
- Learn the main methods of writing assignment
and course design, response, and assessment of student writing
- Operate with key terms of composition theory
and teaching writing theory and practice
- Become more aware of their own writing
processes through frequent composing, responding, and
reflection
