What Will You Gain?

Students will learn ways to integrate reading and writing across the curriculum.

Teaching writing is a practical discipline.  It is what you do in the classroom that really counts -- not how much you know about what to do.

A significant portion of the class will be devoted to studying composition theory.  Practice is based on theory, and in order to be an informed teacher, you need to understand some theory about the way people write and how they can be taught to write better.
