Academy/Conference Application Instructions

Complete the following application only if you are applying to receive academic credit for participation in any of the following programs:

• Content Teaching Academy
• Department of Correctional Education Conference
• Shenandoah Valley Governor's School
• Massanutten Governor's School
• Virginia Association of Trade and Industrial Educators Conference (VATIE)

You must have a code in order to access the form. At the prompt, enter the registration code that you have been given to access the form. Complete all information asked for on the form, including information about your residency.

Eligibility for in-state educational privileges, including in-state tuition rates, is goverened by Section 23-7.4 of the Code of Virginia. If you are claiming Virginia residency for tuition purposes, by submitting this application you agree that you have read and understand the residency requirements and meet the requirements to quilify for in-state tuition and fees. Residency guidelines are found at:

Students may be required to submit proof of residency. Please select the course in which you wish to enroll from the drop down box indicated on the form.

If you intend to take other courses at JMU, you must submit a separate Non-degree Seeking Student Application, including the Application for Virginia In-state Tuition. Please find that application at http://www.jmu.edu/continuingeducation. A Non-degree Seeking Student Application must be submitted to the College of Graduate and Outreach Programs EACH semester for which you plan to register for a course.
