THE K-12 ED TECH ACADEMY provides teachers and ITRTs exposure to the latest tools, technologies, and best practices that are being implemented by fellow teachers and ITRTs on the frontline. Fully one-half of the Academy sessions will include hands-on experience with technologies for content creation and virtual collaboration. Information will also be provided on the JMU/Microsoft Partners in Learning project, giving teachers and ITRTs across Virginia the opportunity to pursue NETS*T certification, explore P21 Skills, and engage collaboratively in professional development activities with colleagues across the state. A special component of the 2008 workshop will include brainstorming and coordinating ideas for upcoming Ed Tech proposals, such as ATTAIN. Join our Academy discussion now, including ATTAIN, at the Ed Tech 2008 Wiki: http://wiki.coe.jmu.edu/EdTech08. If you are interested in joining our virtual community in Second Life, see the information at the wiki.
This academy is limited to 30 participants
