K-8 CREATIVE MOVEMENT ACADEMY is designed to enable teachers to integrate creative movement instruction into the everyday classroom. Using the latest brain-compatible research, participants enrolled in this academy will learn practical strategies for teaching English, mathematics, science and social studies content through movement with a focus on the VA Standards of Learning. Teachers will also learn the basics of brain-compatible research and learn how to apply that research to instruction. Finally, teachers will explore the use of movement as a method for releasing teacher stress.
This academy is limited to 35 participants
