Getting An Account
Department and Program Web Sites
- Departmental and Program web sites are hosted on the main JMU web site http://www.jmu.edu
- If you need a secure server for transmission of sensitive data, hosting is available on https://secureweb.jmu.edu
- If you need Microsoft FrontPage Server extensions or ASP, hosting is available on http://web.jmu.edu Microsoft Windows web server.
Request a URL and access to www.jmu.edu, web.jmu.edu, or secureweb.jmu.edu by completing the
Information Publisher's Orientation and Access Request FormPersonal Web Sites
- Personal web sites are hosted on Peregrin (Unix system), please request through the Accounts Portal. Login into option c. on the accounts portal, click on the left navigational link "Web and General Server Accounts", then select the Peregrin tab to request an account. You will receive information about your account and access within 2 business days.
- If you need Microsoft FrontPage Server extensions or ASP, hosting is available on http://people.jmu.edu a Microsoft Windows Active Directory Domain web server.
