Power Down Computers
When Not In Use




All Faculty and Staff,

As part of the University's continuing efforts and initiatives regarding sustainability and stewardship, and to meet the Governor's Executive Order 82 requirements on energy use, effective immediately, please turn off computers, printers and other office equipment(or place in a low-power mode such as sleep, standby or hibernate) when not in use for extended periods of time (i.e. overnight and on weekends). Also, please power down monitors when not in use for more than 20 minutes. Powering off or putting computers and peripherals in a low-power mode while not in use can make a big difference in overall power consumption.
