Opening/Reading a Message
tlooNew messages are delivered to your Inbox by the mail server. The information viewer displays the message headers in your Inbox folder. The message header displays the name of the person who sent the message in the From column, the subject line of the message in the Subject column, and the date and time the message was received in the Received column. Additional icons may appear to the left of the message header, indicating various message options.
Unread messages appear in bold with a closed envelope icon next to the message header. Messages that have been read no longer appear in bold and the icon changes to an open envelope.
You can view a message by opening the message in the Message window. After reading the message, you can close the window.
Messages can also be read by scrolling the message body in the preview pane, if that view option is enabled through the View menu.
