Changing the View of Your Contacts Folder
By changing the Contacts view, you can control the way in which items appear in the information viewer. You should change to whichever view best suits the task at hand.
The default Contacts view is Address Cards, which displays individual cards with one mailing address, one telephone number for each telephone field, and all e-mail addresses. Other view options include Detailed Address Cards, Phone List, By Category, By Company, By Location, and By Follow Up Flag.
In addition to changing the view, you can choose to enable the Preview Pane feature. This feature can be enabled and disabled from the View menu. The Preview Pane feature splits the information viewer into two panes. The lower pane displays the details about the item selected in the upper pane.

You can move to contacts in the Address Cards view by clicking a letter on the right side of the information viewer. Contacts are listed by the name entered in the File as text box on the General page in the Contact window. If no contact is filed under the selected letter, the next contact appears. |
|
You can customize contact views by selecting the View menu, pointing to the Current View command, and then selecting the Customize Current View command. You can change the fields that display in a view, apply automatic formatting, as well as change default font options and card dimensions. You can also choose options to sort and filter contacts using the View Summary dialog box. |
