Tutorial - Saving a Message to a Drive

If you need to save a message to a computer drive, complete the following steps.

  • In the Webmail message window, click and drag the portions of the message you want to save.  (Consider the From: and Subject: information to help you identify the message later.)
  • In the browser toolbar, click Edit>Copy.
  • Open any text writing software.  Examples:  Notepad or WordPad.
  • In the software toolbar, click Edit>Paste. The information will be added to the window.
  • Save the file in a folder of your choosing.
  • Make sure the name of the file includes enough information to identify the file at a future date.
  • Close the text writing software.
  • Return to Webmail.

There is no way to save multiple messages to a drive easily in WebMail.  You must complete this series of steps each and every time you choose to save a file to a drive.  With increased quota, this may not be as important as it was previously.
