    Answers

    What is the assessment?

IT Training created assessment exams for JMU employees. The exams are connected to specific courses that we teach: Windows:101 and the Basic level for the Office 2003 software: Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Why should I take an assessment?

If you successfully pass the specific assessment, you will not need to take the related IT Training course.

Example: If you register for the Excel: Basic assessment and successfully pass it, you do not need to take the Excel: Basic course. Since you already know the topics covered in that specific course, you can register for the Excel: Intermediate course.

What topics are included in the assessment?

Some skills listed on the Skills Inventory connect with the specific topic included on the assessment. View our Skills Inventory page to review topics.

    5.16 Access: Basic (C015)
    5.15 Excel: Basic (C016)
