JMU IS APPLICATIONS security

JMU employees must request access for the Information Administrative systems listed below by means of the online IS Access Request or the "Fast Track PIQ" (Security Request Project Initiation Questionnaire): 

Finance System
Human Resources Management System (HRMS)
Student Administration System
Advance University Advancement System
AiM Facilities Management System
Nolij Document Imaging System

IS Access Request

The IS Access Request is required whenever one's job requires the ability to access data, run reports or perform other tasks within one of the JMU Information Systems Applications.  The request may be initiated by or on behalf of the employee, or their supervisor.  Depending on the system, several authorizations are required during the request process.

  • Completing the IS Access Request

To get started, review the FAQ's regarding the IS Access Request process, and the JMU Information Systems Application(s) that needs to be accessed.  Since requirements vary somewhat from one system to another, please be sure to carefully note the specifics.   Enter the IS Access Request.

  • Register for classes using MyMadison

To register for a course required for access to JMU Information Systems Applications use MyMadison.

Fast Track PIQ (Security Related PIQ)

A Security Request PIQ (specific sections of a regular PIQ) is required for any menu changes to existing permissions lists/roles, creations of new permission lists/roles, correction mode or other special circumstances. The Security Request PIQ's are often called "Fast Track" PIQ.
