Microsoft Windows Vista

Note: Supported Versions of Windows Vista are Business, Ultimate and Enterprise (JMU-owned computers only)

VPN Client install instructions


Access the VPN client by clicking here
  1. In the Connect to secureweb.jmu.edu window provide your JMU e-ID and password, click OK.



  2. Click on VPN Client for Windows Vista under Connectivity - Wireless/Remote Access.


  3. In the File Download - Security Warning window click Run .



  4. In the Internet Explorer - Security Warning window click Run



  5. In the User Access Control window click Allow.


  6. In the Cisco VPN Client for Vista window click OK.



  7. In the Cisco Systems VPN Client window click Next.



  8. Accept the license agreement then Click Next.



  9. In the Cisco Systems VPN Client window click Next.



  10. In the Cisco Systems VPN Client window click Next.



  11. In the Cisco Systems VPN Client window click Finish.



  12. In the Installer Information window click Yes to restart your computer.



  13. After Loging on to your computer navigate using Start button and click on VPN Client.



  14. In the VPN Client window select the JMU On-Campus Wireless Network profile and click Connect.



  15. In the VPN Client User Authentication window after providing your JMU e-ID and password, click OK.
