Please have Thunderbird configured and working properly before following these directions!
Transferring individual or several selected e-mails
- Open Thunderbird to view files and folders located on the e-mail server
- Go to the File
menu, move the pointer over New,
and then click Folder...

- Enter in a name for the new folder
- Under Create as a subfolder of:
click the drop down arrow, move the pointer over Local Folders, and
then select choose this
for the parent

- The new folder should be located under Local Folders
- Select the desired message(s) by clicking so they are highlighted
- Go to the Message menu, place
the pointer over Move,
then Local Folders,
and select the newly created folder

- Browse to the selected folder to verify the file has
properly transferred

Copying a folder
- Find the folder that you would like to move click and drag in
to the folder just created

- The folder is now copied to the local computer

- Note that the folder still remains on the server.
To delete the folder right click on it, and choose Deletesou
