How do I install/configure Oracle Connector for Outlook for use at JMU?



  1. If this is not during the initial install process, you will need to go to Start, All Programs, Oracle Connector for Outlook, Oracle Connector Configuration Wizard

  2. Click Next at the Welcome Screen




  3. Select Outlook from the Profiles and click Next




  4. Ensure that the Incoming Mail and Outgoing Mail (SMTP) checkboxes to the right are unchecked

  5. Under the Calendar section, for the Server Name, enter: ocal.jmu.edu

  6. Under the Calendar section, for the Username, enter: your JMU e-ID

  7. Under the Calendar section, for the Password, enter: your JMU e-ID password (don't forget to return to the Oracle Connector for Outlook Wizard and change your password when you change your e-ID password every 90 days)

  8. Under the At Startup section:

  9. Change the drop-down menu box to Choose a connection type
    Check the checkbox Remember server passwords


  10. Click Next.

  11. Check the check box Set as Default.



  12. Click Finish.
