How do I install/configure Oracle Connector for Outlook for use at JMU?



  1. If this is not during the initial install process, you will need to go to Start, All Programs, Oracle Connector for Outlook, Oracle Connector Configuration Wizard.


  2. Click Next at the Welcome Screen.



  3. Select Outlook from the Profiles and click Next.



  4. Under the Calendar section, for the Server Name, type ocal.jmu.edu.


  5. Under the Calendar section, for the Account Name, use your e-ID.


  6. Under the Calendar section, for the Password, use your e-ID password.


  7. Ensure that the following checkboxes are unchecked:
    • Incoming Mail
    • Outgoing Mail (SMTP)

  8. There should be no information specified under User Information, Incoming Mail, or Outgoing Mail (SMTP).


  9. Under the At Startup: section, ensure the following:
    • The drop-down menu should be set to Choose a connection type.
    • Check the checkbox Use same password for all servers.
    • Check the checkbox Remember server passwords.



  10. Click Next.


  11. Check the check box Set as Default.



  12. Click Finish.
