Frontpage 2002: My Active Directory site exists in Frontpage, but I cannot browse to it



Problem:

Your Active Directory web site exists and you can see the files in Frontpage, but you cannot view the page or site in a browser. The browser either says that the page is not found or permission is denied.








Solution:

  1. In Frontpage, Open Web and enter the URL for the site.
  2. After logging in using Active Directory credentials, highlight the top folder for the web site.
  3. Right-click on the top folder and go to Properties.
  4. On the General Tab, put a check in the check box next to "Allow Files to be Browsed."
