Get Help

JMU offers several options for helping you, including online self-help and various methods of reporting issues and requesting assistance.  These options are available for faculty, staff, students, and affiliates.  Additional information for targeted faculty and staff groups is presented under the Faculty and Staff section.

  • Computing HelpDesk

    JMU applicants, students, faculty, staff, affiliates, and alumni can contact the Computing HelpDesk for assistance with JMU-related computing issues, questions or to request IT services. 
  • Self-Help

    Visit self-help for an online collection of frequently needed computing information, including the most commonly asked question "How do I reset my password?".

Faculty and Staff

  • East Campus Support

    Technical Support East Campus Support (TSEC) provides online assistance for faculty and staff in the CS/ISAT, HHS and Blue Ridge buildings, and those located on Technology Drive.  Faculty and staff on east campus in other buildings (Festival, Convo, etc) should contact the Computing HelpDesk for support.
  • Ask Your Technology Coordinator

    Technology Coordinators serve as a contact between your college/department and the department of Information Technology. Check with your college or departmental technology coordinator about your computing problem or question.
  • Academic Technology Resources

    Assistance for academic technology resources including Blackboard, Test Scoring, and Technology Classrooms.
