Database Backups

JMU relies on cold, or offline, database backups as the primary type of backup. When a cold backup is not possible, often a hot backup will be run instead. In addition, all databases are scheduled for a daily export of the tables, which serves as an additional backup of specific tables, and as a data integrity check.
