This program of study prepares students to explore methods of conflict resolution within and outside of formal legal contexts. Included among these are mediation and negotiation. A program in conflict analysis and intervention studies can prepare students for a career in mediation or for the study of law.
In addition to the 15 hours of required communication studies courses, students studying conflict and mediation must complete the following 18 hours from among the depth requirements . Additionally, students are encouraged to enroll in an internship during their junior or senior year.
