Brian T. Kaylor, an assistant professor, teaches political communication, advocacy studies, rhetorical methods, and public speaking. He is the author of two books: Presidential Campaign Rhetoric in an Age of Confessional Politics (Lexington Books, 2011) and For God's Sake, Shut Up! (Smyth & Helwys, 2007).
Kaylor's two dozen journal articles and book chapters have been published in Communication Quarterly, Communication Studies, Free Speech Yearbook, Journal of Communication and Religion, Journal of Media and Religion, Mass Communication & Society, and Public Relations Review. He has also presented over fifty papers at academic conferences and has won several writing awards.
Kaylor's writings have also appeared in numerous newspapers, including Birmingham News, Houston Chronicle, Kansas City Star, Roanoke Times, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and the Virginian-Pilot. Kaylor graduated with his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.
