Clayton Johnson has been a lecturer in the School of Communication Studies for several years. Clayton received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Kansas State University. In college, Clayton was part of KSU’s forensics team and won several awards in the national individual events, including the 1997 national tournament winner for communication analysis. He was the 1998 Interstate Oratory Association winner and earned a second place finish in persuasive speaking that same year. Clayton coached the University of Nebraska-Lincoln speech team from 2001 to 2004.
In his free time, Clayton enjoys reading and walking. He can be seen on Saturday mornings trekking through the arboretum or walking around town. Clayton has an interest in spiritualism, which he explores in yearly retreats away from Harrisonburg.
