Alumni Affairs

The School of Communication Studies takes great pride in the notable achievements of its graduating students. As part of its family, a committee of graduates from the department was established in 2006 to support SCOM faculty, staff, students and alumni in fulfilling the school's mission. The ensuing Alumni Advisory Council was formed.

The Board holds annual meetings on campus at Homecoming and holds teleconferences every three months. The AAC envisions assisting SCOM with such endeavors as job shadowing, internships, guest lecturing in classes, student recruitment, faculty recruitment, raising funds for scholarships, academic chairs searches.

We are delighted with the enthusiasm, creativity, and generosity of the AAC and believe we are on the right path toward enhancing a fruitful long-term relationship with alumni.
